What is a
play?


As
a matter of fact, there is no essential difference between play and drama. A play
is a dramatic work designed to be presented on a stage and performed by actors
and actresses.



John
Dryden has said, play is ‘a just and lively image of human nature representing
its passions and humors and the changes of fortune to which it is subject for
the delight and instruction of mankind.’
